Dolvic-K 50 mg Film-Coated Tablets contain diclofenac potassium, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with analgesic and anti-inflammatory activity. Diclofenac works by reducing the formation of substances involved in pain and inflammation, helping relieve pain, swelling and stiffness associated with a range of acute inflammatory conditions. Dolvic-K may be prescribed for rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, acute gout, low back pain and ankylosing spondylitis. It is also used for acute musculoskeletal injuries and conditions such as sprains, strains, sports-related soft tissue injuries, frozen shoulder, dislocations and fractures, as well as inflammatory conditions affecting tendons including tendonitis, tenosynovitis and bursitis. Dolvic-K can also be prescribed for migraine attacks and for the control of pain and inflammation associated with orthopaedic, dental and other minor surgical procedures. The tablets are intended for oral use and should be swallowed whole with water. According to the Saudi patient information leaflet, they should be taken with or after food. Diclofenac should be used at the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration necessary to control symptoms because gastrointestinal and cardiovascular risks may increase with higher doses and prolonged treatment. Each film-coated tablet contains 50 mg diclofenac potassium. The pack contains 20 tablets arranged as 2 blister strips of 10 tablets each.
