Diclopid 50 mg Film-Coated Tablets contain diclofenac potassium, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used for short-term relief of pain and inflammation. It may be prescribed for musculoskeletal injuries, back pain, inflammatory soft-tissue conditions, post-operative or dental pain, painful menstrual periods, migraine attacks and other acute painful inflammatory conditions. Each pack contains 20 tablets.
Diclopid 50 mg Film-Coated Tablets contain diclofenac potassium, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic properties.
It is intended for short-term treatment of acute pain and inflammation. Diclopid may be prescribed for pain, swelling and inflammation following injuries such as sprains and strains, as well as acute musculoskeletal conditions including frozen shoulder, tendonitis, tenosynovitis and bursitis.
It may also be used to manage pain and inflammation following dental or orthopaedic surgery, painful menstrual periods, migraine attacks, acute gout, painful conditions affecting the spine and certain forms of non-articular rheumatism.
In selected cases, diclofenac potassium may be used as an adjunct to appropriate treatment for severe painful inflammatory infections of the ear, nose or throat.
Diclofenac works by reducing the production of prostaglandins, substances involved in pain, inflammation and fever.
Diclopid 50 mg tablets have a relatively rapid onset of action, making this formulation particularly suitable for acute painful and inflammatory conditions.
Each film-coated tablet contains 50 mg diclofenac potassium. The pack contains 20 tablets and the medicine is available by prescription.

| How To Use | Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water or another suitable liquid, preferably before meals or on an empty stomach. Do not divide, crush or chew the tablet. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest possible duration. If a dose is missed, take it when remembered unless it is nearly time for the next dose; do not take a double dose. |
| Warning | Do not use if you are allergic to diclofenac, aspirin, ibuprofen, other NSAIDs or any ingredient in the medicine. Do not use if you have active or recurrent stomach or intestinal ulcers, gastrointestinal bleeding, severe kidney or liver disease, severe heart failure, or if previous NSAID use caused asthma, urticaria or acute rhinitis. Diclopid is contraindicated during the last 3 months of pregnancy. During the first and second trimesters it should only be used when clearly necessary and under medical supervision. It should not be used during breastfeeding unless specifically advised by the doctor. Use with particular caution if you have asthma, high blood pressure, heart disease, kidney or liver impairment, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, previous gastrointestinal bleeding or ulcer, dehydration or a bleeding disorder. Diclofenac may increase the risk of serious gastrointestinal bleeding and, particularly with higher doses or prolonged treatment, cardiovascular events such as heart attack or stroke. Seek urgent medical help for black stools, vomiting blood, severe abdominal pain, chest pain, difficulty breathing, facial swelling, severe rash or other signs of a serious allergic reaction. Tell your doctor about all medicines you take, especially anticoagulants, aspirin or other NSAIDs, corticosteroids, SSRIs, diuretics, medicines for high blood pressure, methotrexate, ciclosporin or tacrolimus. Store according to the original package instructions, protected from light and moisture, and keep out of reach of children. |

| Dose | Adults: The usual starting dose is 100–150 mg daily, divided into 2–3 doses. In milder cases, 75–100 mg daily may be sufficient. Do not normally exceed 150 mg per day. For painful menstrual periods, treatment may start with 50–100 mg at the onset of symptoms, followed by 50 mg up to three times daily as needed. In selected cases and only under medical direction, the maximum may be increased to 200 mg per day. For migraine attacks, an initial 50 mg dose may be taken at the first signs of an attack. If required, another 50 mg may be taken after 2 hours, followed by further 50 mg doses at intervals of 4–6 hours. Do not exceed 200 mg per day for migraine. Adolescents aged 14 years and over: 75–100 mg daily, usually divided into 2–3 doses. Maximum 150 mg per day. Diclopid 50 mg tablets are not recommended for children under 14 years. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest possible duration and follow the doctor's prescription. |
