Restomap 40 mg Gastro-Resistant Tablets contain esomeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor that reduces stomach acid production. It is used for conditions including erosive reflux oesophagitis, gastroesophageal reflux disease, certain peptic ulcer conditions, and other disorders associated with excessive gastric acid.
Restomap 40 mg contains esomeprazole as esomeprazole magnesium and is supplied as gastro-resistant tablets. Esomeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor that works by reducing gastric acid secretion. ([Saudi Food and Drug Authority][1])
It is indicated for gastroesophageal reflux disease, including the treatment of erosive reflux oesophagitis. Depending on the clinical condition, esomeprazole may also be used as part of Helicobacter pylori eradication therapy, for certain NSAID-associated ulcers, after treatment for bleeding peptic ulcers, and for Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.
