Pantoprazole 40 mg is a proton pump inhibitor used to reduce excess stomach acid. It is used for conditions including gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), stomach and duodenal ulcers, erosive esophagitis, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, and may also be used with antibiotics to treat Helicobacter pylori.
Pantoprazole 40 mg is a proton pump inhibitor that works by reducing the production of gastric acid.
It is used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), stomach ulcers, duodenal ulcers, erosive esophagitis, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. It may also be used together with antibiotics as part of treatment for Helicobacter pylori infection.
Pantoprazole is also used in adults for frequent heartburn occurring two or more times per week. It is not intended for immediate relief of heartburn symptoms.

| How To Use | Take 40 mg once daily as directed. Pantoprazole may be taken as a single dose or as two doses according to the recommended treatment regimen. |
| Warning | Pantoprazole is not intended for immediate relief of heartburn symptoms. Use with caution because pantoprazole may cause kidney problems and may cause new or worsening symptoms of lupus. Possible side effects may include headache, stomach discomfort, gas, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, fever, and cold-like symptoms such as stuffy nose, sneezing, and sore throat. Store below 25°C at room temperature. Keep out of reach of children and store in the original package to protect from moisture. |
