Kulax Syrup contains lactulose, an osmotic laxative used to relieve constipation and soften stools. It works by drawing water into the bowel, helping increase stool volume and stimulate natural bowel movements for easier evacuation. ([SDI][1])
Kulax Syrup contains lactulose, an osmotic laxative used for the treatment of constipation and in situations where softer stools are required, such as after certain anal or colon procedures or in patients with hemorrhoids.
Lactulose is broken down by bacteria in the colon into organic acids, creating an osmotic effect that draws water into the bowel. This helps soften stools, increase stool bulk, and stimulate bowel movement.
Kulax may also be used under medical supervision in hepatic encephalopathy to help reduce intestinal ammonia absorption. Each 100 ml contains 65 g of lactulose. ([SDI][1])
