| How To Use | Take Escitam once daily at approximately the same time each day, with or without food. Swallow the tablet with water and use exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not exceed 20 mg daily unless specifically directed. Do not stop treatment suddenly; the dose should usually be reduced gradually under medical supervision. |
| Warning | Use only under medical supervision. Do not use if you are allergic to escitalopram or if you are taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs). Monitor for worsening depression, unusual behavioral changes, or suicidal thoughts, particularly when starting treatment or changing the dose. Tell your doctor if you have seizures, bipolar disorder or a history of mania, liver or kidney problems, heart rhythm disorders, or if you take other medicines that affect serotonin.
