Empagliflozin Tablets contain an SGLT2 inhibitor used to help manage type 2 diabetes and, in certain adults, heart failure and chronic kidney disease. It helps lower blood glucose by increasing glucose removal through urine and provides additional cardiovascular and kidney-related benefits in eligible patients.
Empagliflozin is a sodium-glucose co-transporter-2 (SGLT2) inhibitor used in the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus. It lowers blood glucose by helping the kidneys remove excess glucose from the body through urine. In certain adults with heart failure, empagliflozin helps reduce the risk of cardiovascular death and hospitalization due to heart failure. It is also used in certain adults with chronic kidney disease to help reduce the risk of kidney disease progression, cardiovascular death, and hospitalization for heart failure. Available strengths include 10 mg and 25 mg tablets.

How To Use Take once daily in the morning, with or without food, exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow the tablet whole without crushing or chewing. Continue the recommended diet and exercise program. Do not stop treatment or change the dose without consulting your doctor.
Warning Empagliflozin is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. It may affect kidney function and increase the risk of dehydration, urinary tract infections, and genital yeast infections. Rare but serious complications may include diabetic ketoacidosis and Fournier's gangrene. Maintain adequate fluid intake and seek medical attention if symptoms of severe dehydration, ketoacidosis, or serious infection develop. Inform your doctor about kidney problems and all other medicines you are taking.
Dose Take once daily in the morning, with or without food, exactly as prescribed by your doctor. The appropriate strength and dose depend on the condition being treated, individual needs, and other medicines being used.
