Diclogesic Suppositories contain diclofenac sodium, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to relieve pain, swelling and inflammation. The range is available in 12.5 mg, 50 mg and 100 mg strengths. The 50 mg and 100 mg suppositories are intended for adults, while the 12.5 mg strength is used for specific pediatric indications under medical supervision.
Diclogesic Suppositories contain diclofenac sodium, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties.
Diclogesic 50 mg and 100 mg suppositories are intended for adults and elderly patients for the relief of pain, swelling and inflammation associated with a wide range of joint, muscle and tendon conditions.
They may be prescribed for rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis and acute gout, as well as acute musculoskeletal conditions such as back pain, sprains, strains, frozen shoulder, tendonitis, tenosynovitis and bursitis. They can also be used for pain and inflammation resulting from trauma, fractures, dislocations and certain orthopedic, dental or minor surgical procedures.
Diclogesic 12.5 mg suppositories are intended for specific pediatric indications. They may be prescribed for juvenile chronic arthritis in children aged 1–12 years and for short-term management of acute post-operative pain in children aged 6 years and above.
Diclogesic suppositories are administered rectally and must not be swallowed. The suppository should be inserted well into the rectum, preferably after passing stools.
The lowest effective dose should be used for the shortest possible duration necessary to control symptoms.

| How To Use | For rectal use only. Do not swallow. If possible, empty the bowel before using the suppository. Wash your hands, remove the suppository from its wrapper and gently insert it well into the rectum. It may be easier to insert while lying on one side with the knees drawn toward the chest. Wash your hands after administration. Use only the strength, number of suppositories and frequency prescribed by the doctor. Do not use two suppositories at the same time to compensate for a missed dose. |
| Warning | Do not use Diclogesic if you are allergic to diclofenac, aspirin, ibuprofen, other NSAIDs or any ingredient in the product. Do not use in patients with an active or recurrent stomach or intestinal ulcer, gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation, or a history of serious gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation associated with previous NSAID treatment. Diclofenac should not be used in patients with severe heart, liver or kidney failure or in certain established cardiovascular diseases. Do not use during the last 3 months of pregnancy. During the first 6 months of pregnancy, use only if absolutely necessary and specifically advised by a doctor. Tell the doctor before use if you have asthma, high blood pressure, heart disease, kidney or liver problems, gastrointestinal disease or if you take anticoagulants, other NSAIDs, corticosteroids, diuretics, lithium, methotrexate or other interacting medicines. Serious gastrointestinal bleeding, cardiovascular events and severe allergic reactions can occur with NSAIDs. Seek immediate medical attention for black stools, vomiting blood, severe abdominal pain, chest pain, difficulty breathing, facial swelling or other signs of a severe reaction. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest possible duration. Store below 30°C. Do not freeze. Keep out of reach of children. |

| Dose | For rectal use only and exactly as prescribed by the doctor. Adults: Diclogesic 50 mg and 100 mg suppositories are generally used at a total diclofenac dose of 75–150 mg daily in divided doses. The maximum recommended adult dose is 150 mg per day. A 100 mg suppository may be prescribed once daily, usually at night, with additional diclofenac only when required and without exceeding 150 mg daily. Children: Diclogesic 12.5 mg suppositories are used for specific pediatric indications. For juvenile chronic arthritis in children aged 1–12 years, the usual dose is 1–3 mg/kg/day divided into 2 or 3 doses. For acute post-operative pain in children aged 6 years and above, the usual dose is 1–2 mg/kg/day divided into 2 or 3 doses for a maximum of 4 days. The exact dose must be determined by the doctor according to age, weight, condition and strength used. |
